Artist Statement

For this project I wanted to consider a pandemic or end of the world type event similar to what is happening to our society right now. I chose to make a small device that tells you that your surroundings are survivable and that "everything is ok". With the push of a touch sensor this message is displayed on the screen as well as the ambient temperature, atmospheric pressure, and the UV light index for where you are in real time. If any of these parameters are outside of a safe region then the screen will display that you are not safe. This project holds a double purpose as being reassuring and letting you know that you are okay, as well as giving you valuable information to keep you safe.
